Coconut bread isn’t just delicious. For Isabel and her family, it provides an important source of income. With that income and the support received from her child’s sponsorship through Unbound (formerly CFCA), Isabel is able to make sure her family has enough to eat and that her children are able to go to school. Isabel’s family lives in Livingston, Guatemala. Livingston is a unique community in Central America. A majority of the community’s families are descended from Garífuna, Afro-Caribbean, Maya and Latino cultures.
